Provincial Colleges of Chiropractors in Canada
Everyone is entitled to safe and competent health care.
To be granted a license to practise, chiropractors are required to pass rigorous national academic, clinical skills and provincial jurisprudence board exams. The national and provincial examinations are conducted by the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board (CCEB) . The CCEB provides high quality clinical competency evaluation and cognitive skills examinations and is responsible for their development, delivery, and administration.
Healthcare is regulated provincially and each province has - or is in the process of - implementing a Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). Some provinces have yet to fully establish their regulatory body under this legislation.
To ensure the public interest is protected, regulated health care providers must obtain licences or certificates of registration to practise their profession from their respective regulatory bodies:
